The series will include books intended to introduce different medical and surgical specialities. Each volume will consist of edited volumes of several chapters written by leading experts in the field. I will invite the top expert in each field, and I have someone in mind for each title, to edit the volume as a lively and up to date source of knowledge with relevant illustrations which will be an effective tool for rapid assimilation and understanding of the subject. ICP needs such a series to add to its publications as with the rapid pace of development in many areas of medicine there is a need for concise volumes by experts to keep the profession up to date.
